Program Data inconsistent?

Not sure if this is a bug or if it's the way the thing works, but often I hear of a program I want to record that doesn't show up in the "search by title" list but DOES show if you go in through "record by time/channel"

The most recent example is 'the iron chef' on SBS (sydney).

I searched for it in the "title" list the day after it aired - would that cause it to disappear from the list?

Try just seaching for 'iron chef'

yup - did that and it comes up.. unless I happen to search for it after it airs (in which case it doesn't)

This happens on my TiVo as well, so I suggest that this is probably a normal operation of the way things work. What I find that I can do is either wait until the next time TiVo updates closer to the day and set a Season Pass, or add it to the Wishlist.

I know it's not extremly helpful at all, but it's one step towards what you want to do.

thanks - as long as it's normal operation I can cope
