Shipping of TIVO from the USA via Surface Mail :(

Yes ... I'm kicking myself now .... I purchased a S1 Tivo via eBay, and had it shipped via surface mail

What's the longest anyone has had to wait for such a shipment ? I'm up to the end of week #11 !!!

As Darren has said 8-12 weeks is fairly normal for most of the year, I've mostly had things at the 12 week end of that range.

Surface travels as off peak for it's entire journey, it can take over a week to cross the US to the West coast before being shipped. The same this end if you live out West, as most surface mail from the pacific is cleared at Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.

Anyone heard of any cargo ships sinking lately ?

Hopefully it wasn't in one of these containers
