Tivo HD remote used on HD and S1

Hi guys, I haven't posted in a while but now I have a question.

I just purchased a TivoHD and already own a S1 Tivo and was wondering if it was possible to use the new HD Tivo remote with it's remote 1/2 switch so that on position 1 it controls the HD and on position 2 it controls the S1?

I've already tried a few remote setting tricks but both Tivos just seem to accept any/all codes all the time and cannot be "locked" to only accepting one remote code only.
