starting recording early and late finish

Just had a HDD failure - put in a new 160 GIG and all is OK except that recordings default to starting and finishing on time. How do I change that? Used the latest 1.6.2

endpad needs to have at least 2 recordings in the todo list to work, or it just dies.

Add 2 shows then reboot.

thanks again for your help. will give that a go. I've got one other problem. The sound hiccups every minute or so in live TV and any recordings made. Slightly annoying.

Sounds like you are still in maintenance mode. A Reboot usually fixes this also.

If it doesn't use TWP and go into the PalNtsc section and show us what your current boot parameters are.

OK you are a bit ahead of me. TWP = Tivo web Plus? Have gone there but where do I find PalNTSC? Have rebooted several times and proble persists. display is full screen so I do not thik I am in NTSC mode. Boot up does not say maintenance mode like it did when I first installed the image.

OK found the parameters on TWP under Sysadmin root=/dev/hda4 runideturbo=false TV_STD=PAL GS=0.

After two more reboots sound now seems OK at the moment.

OK I know it has been a while since I have revisited this but I still have the stuttering sound. Also no padding of recordings. I have to add that through TWP. GS=0 which I believe is correct.

Is the sound an issue on all channels?

What is your inport source (PAL Tuner, VCR, STB etc)?

Assuming you have at least 2 shows in your todo list, reboot your tivo then post a copy of your endpad.log
