    Question ISP issues

I'm trying to find out if the ambiguous marketspeak on the NZ TiVo website means that the Premium Content is only available via Xtra, or if it is simply just not zero-rated via other ISPs. The Telecom support people and in the shops know less than I do about TiVos at the moment it seems

Since the EPG will be available via all ISPs, I'm hoping that I can get everything else via our ISP (Orcon) as well -- we have a 26GB/mo allowance so it wouldn't be to great an imposition. Also, Orcon have already zero-rated many sites such as, so there's a good chance they'll zero-rate the Tivo site as well. It is possible, though, than Telecom will simple firewall off anyone not with Xtra, although this seems a bit anti-competitive to me and worth a bit of a fight over.

When I get my hands on a TiVo in a few weeks' time, I'll test this out and post my findings for Orcon. Hopefully, other NZ-Tivo people can do the same if they run on different ISPs?

This has already been recently discussed in the main TiVo NZ thread.

Please search this forum and our Website for your TiVo questions before starting a new thread. Thanks!
