Is the latest slice corrupted?

I've just re-imaged my tivo drive (new 120G drive) and I can't get LOADGUIDE to work (or dbload30.tcl) with the current slice (crashes with checksum errors). I tried loading an old slice and it seemed to work better (unfortunately the only old slice I had lying around was one with the "dbload line 20" error but it didn't fall over like the latest slice)

well, fwiw, I set the Tivo up to use the emulator (thanks Ed!) and everything works fine now. Man, that was bad timing.. having just installed a brand new hard drive I had a slight panic attack when it kept producing corrupted filesystem errors!

Well that's strange. As I'm running

hdr112.30.oztivo_emulator.release1.3

and I had the same error. What were you previously running?

Ok I have removed the slice, testing what went wrong.
everyone will just have to bear with us, as TVNZ (completely changed) and Sky have changed their site recently, the grabber needed to be rewritten and updated.
There maybe some corrupt guide data somewhere..

FWIW, slicedump found 2 orphaned records, so I pulled it from the emulator directory to see if anybody had troubles. Seems to have been a prudent decision.

Thanks Ed, I got my guide tools working again... so can slicedump, seems to be BBC data issue.

Well, I removed the slices from my var/hack/guide directory and ran a manual loadguide but I'm still getting fatal errors with the slice.

I got the slice at 11:59 this morning (after I removed the old one from the /var/hack/guide directory).
