Thread: Failed. Service Unavailable Part 2

  1. #71
I switched to 127::210.48.107.133:8000::: this evening and managed to download guide data fine.

Looks like it's only a problem for me when I re-run guided setup.
I did delete guide data and season passes when i was troubleshooting the old emulator, perhaps this was a factor.

    Hmmm ... odd.

I think the only way to get to the bottom of this one is to setup a test scenario..

I'm going continue with dropping my tivo of the net for while and see the result when re-connecting.

    It's an awkward one

I had the problem and didn't run guided setup at all. I was about to try that, having read MrGadget's post earlier in this thread, when Ed's emulator returned to life.

Since then I've done a fresh install off Orac, using the latest image which creates a correctly-sized swap partition. That went flawlessly.

Thanks for your help. It seems everyone's situation was subtly different so trying to reproduce it might be a fraught process ;-).

    Cheers
    Matt

    I'll second that statement!

No luck in reproducing so far.

    Mine has died again.

Haven't re-run GS or anything. Talking to 64.151.65.200

Apologies for the long post, but this is the http communication in it's entirety. Doesn't look like it's actually getting the data to me, although I don't understand the communications in detail anyway. Anyone else have an idea what's gone wrong this time?

    Cheers -

Yeah good, just checking ... since you have connectivity it could have been a slice versioning issue, the develpment emulators have slice numbers > the standard emulator.

    ...but obviously not the problem...

    Hi All,

I'm getting a Service Unavailable message when I try and force a daily call from TivoWebPlus.

I've been running quite happily for the last few months since getting my Tivo but have had a few problems in the last week or so.
I've been connecting to the dev server on

I ended up with the "Clock is Warped" issue last week and managed to solve this with the Touch and re-index solution. Along the way I did a refresh of my guide data which seemed to work ok,

However since then I haven't managed to complete a daily call - I get a connection failed message.

I've tried troubleshooting my network settings as per the document on OzTivo but all seems in order - I can ping the server from the Tivo and do a wget and the network is definately up.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to try next. Should I try connecting to the standard emulator? do I need to do a reset of the guide data to do this?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks,

    Brendon.

My emulator's running fine at the moment... AFAIK the port 80 dev emulator and mine are the same thing, though I'd get verification on that. But as far as I know you can swap from dev port 80 to original port 80 with no issues at all.

(btw, if I'm wrong on this let me know; I'll try to ensure that mine is either identical to, or as close as possible, to the dev one, just for consistencies sake)
