Yes. From a telnet session (DON'T use windows telnet it is broken) - get a program called "putty". When you get a bash prompt type:
nic_config_tivo
Follow the options, save and reboot.
Is it possible to change the TIVO from dynamic IP addressing to Static without reimaging the disk?
Everytime I have to reboot my TIVO it comes up on a new IP address and I have to go looking for it to use the web interface.
Also does it have a machine name?
Regards
Rohan

Yep... well worth doing too.. My two tivos kept going awol via dhcp to my linkysys router.. Bit of a bugger as I couldn't remote in to record some programmes. No problems at all since setting static IP's.
