Unhappy No more Series 1 TiVo's available?

On both www.eksys.com and www.power.com you can no longer buy Series 1 TiVo's.

Does anyone have any further info on this?

Meat, beer, ... what more could a kid ask for? Of course... a TiVo! What were my parents thinking?

    Who could have predicted it?

George hangs around the forum (usually in the Oz side of it) so may be able to provide the inside scoop.

    Subject: [oztivo] Some bad news

I'm sorry to report that I'm no longer able to supply refurbished series1
TiVos. I've been informed by my supplier that the inventories have been
    completely sold out.

My last shipment of TiVos arrived late Monday and all current pending orders
are being shipped to the buyers over the next few days.

I may have a few TiVos that come in on occasion but not in the quantities
that I've had in the past. I'm still trying to figure out how I might
handle sales on those that I do manage to get my hands on.

I'll still carry accessories and parts as long as I can; and my offer to
forward any purchases off eBay from sellers that don't wish to ship overseas
    still stands.

Thanks to all on the list for your support. It's been a great few years and
I've made quite a few new friends.

I hope I'm still welcome to one of the BBQs :-)

  3. I'm still here !!

Although I can no longer supply Factory refurbished units, I'm in the process of obtaining others. Some are from eBay and some are from US customers that have moved on to newer units. Once I get them in-shop, I'll come up with a way to offer them. I get way too many requests to just say "Hey, I've got one in-stock". I'd get 10 payments and a whole bunch of people waiting again. I hate waiting

I've added links to my website for TiVos where the sellers have indicated that they are willing to ship direct to you, or, ship to me for forwarding.

Besides, I thought I'd better start posting. I want to be more than a "newbie"..

When you get some you should just auction them off aswell. I would say the demand will far out-weigh the supply. There's always the trading part of the forum and your post count will go up too!
