    Kernal Log - Error - Unexpected nonzero

    I note in my kernal log I get absolutely screeds of "Unexpected nonzero filter type" errors in my Kernal Log, and while I don't believe I am having any related issues. I am curious why these occur (they seem to possibly match the end of program recording) and if others are seeing these in the logs....

    I can not find any mention of the "nonzero" errors in the logs on my OzTiVo (1.3) system. I do however occasionally see these errors (in tverr) that cause the remote to stop responding
    Code:
    Trace[126]: Have a buffer (0) with zero segmentsDid someone zero memory?
    Trace[126]: leaking buffers = pt->theBuf = 0x30301000. Trying to recover.

    Yep, I get those too. I think everyone gets them.

    Pretty sure it is an issue with the database (looks like MFS corruption) under the 3.0 software... in fact I think I have just fixed it for my system (there was a bogus entry 178123 under the Recording/LiveCache area of MFS). [Update: this was an unrelated problem and did not seem to resolve the leaking buffers issue]

    There is another really odd situation where the TiVo will sometimes pause the playback when I am playing under TivoWeb... and by "pause" I mean it is just as if somebody had hit the pause button on the remote... all I need to do to fix it is hit play, but I have had this happen about 8 times now, much to the annoyment of whoever is watching the TiVo at the time.

    I do not get any of these (or any problems at all) on my primary (v2.5.5) UK TiVo.

    Now back to the "nonzero" errors... I am unable to find any mention of this error having popped up before... can't find anything in dealdatabase or tivocommunity... might be a tricky one to solve... I would probably be tempted to reimage the system

    Note: "Annoyment" does not seem to be a word... oh well... I am sure we are all big enough to get over it.
