Is there any way to backup Season passes in tivo HD

Is there any way to backup Season passes in tivo HD series 3 ??

On the series 1 you could login to the web interface and download a fine.

I rang Technical support and they told me I could do via the home networking package...

    I can not find where...

Technical support have no idea. There is no backup function on the TiVoHD.

You can use the same method as you did with the series one TiVo, but you need to swap the PROM and hack it to run TiVoWebPlus.

You are going to love this...

Was talking to technical support Mr "Raj" (like on big bang theory)

My Problem with Caspa not loading and (blue screen) then crashing back to the now playing menu. (works fine when you first reboot but after a couple of days goes bad)

I was told my 30 meter ethernet cable was too long and I need to delete some recordings as there is not enough disk space for Caspa to load

I gave up at this point.

I asked again how to back up the season passes. I was again was told you can do this via Tivo desktop 2.8

    I said how... which menu....

    He could not tell me...

After going to his supervisor he came back and said "It is an option in the software"

I pressed the point. Tell me which menu option.

After a long pause with his supervisor (which he would not let me talk to)

    He said

"File -> pick recordings to transfer"

Then select all the recordings and this will transfer the recordings and the season pass details

The problem is he really believed this (he had only been working there 3 days)

TiVo need to fix their support. Special number for the tech savvy. 

This is an ongoing problem and is really dragging down TiVo's reputation here...

That sounds intriguing. Can this be done without losing activation & EPG?
