    Timing issue on guide data

    Hi everyone,

I now have my ozTivo working thanks to Darren. I spent this afternoon going through the guided setup.

I've just tried to initiate my first recording but although the programs are ok they are all timed at 5 hours prior to their actual viewing times. i.e. Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking on SBS at 8.30pm this evening is showing as 3.30pm. (The day/date is ok)

    Any ideas, please?

    TIA

    John

Sounds like your TiVo still had not settled. It can take many hours for it to organise itself.

If the time is still not correct, force another daily call as the clock is set during this call.

Let us know if it is still a problem, as we will need to check the call to the timeserver.

    Hi Peter,

    I initiated another call.

It seems the system still thinks its 5 hours earlier than it actually is. The call was timed at 7.23am whereas in fact it happened at 12.23pm.

ok, that looks correct as far as the offset for Sydney goes.

Was the time shown correct when you ran it?

is the TiVo's time correct, or is it just the guide times that are out?

    Peter,

Everything came together once I rebooted the Tivo, thanks.

I now have another challenge which I'll start a new thread for.

For some reason the system flagged you as a spammer (guess because of the embedded links).

I have deleted your multiple attempts, and just left one, and answered it as well.
