    Problems with IR

    Hi All,

Just had to get a new STB as my Aldi Tevion suddenly stopped. I have created the IR slices OK. The one problem I have left is that if I select a channel from the live TV guide that has only one digit, all that gets sent is 0, instead of 07. Double digit channels are fine. I have set dbsetx to use 2 digits, but nothing changes.

The box is an Altech UEC DT2900

    Can any one help ?

    TIA,

    Ian

Does your STB only accept 2 digits? If it accepts 3 or four, what happens if you set RecieverNumDigits to 3 or 4, does the leading digit get sent?

OK, don't know what happened, but did the whole process again, and the box now works.

    The following problems manifested themselves:

If you hold down a key for too log, it send the code multiple times i.e. if you hold down the 9 key it will change to 99 on the one push. This made capture quite tricky. The frequency it uses is 55, this took quite a while to work out.

    Thanks for your help.

Moderator, the IR database gives me a broken link, is it still around, and I will upload the codes.

Have you created a login for the Wiki? You need one to be able access the IR database. I just tested and I was able to login.
You may also want to add your STB to this useful list http://oztivo.phoenixdigital.com/stb_browse.php

The link to the IR database is http://www.oztivo.net/tivo-bin/irdatabase.cgi.

But as Skolink has said you will need to register on the OzTiVo Wiki before you can access that page. You can register @ http://www.oztivo.net/twiki/bin/view...kiRegistration
