New tivo no nothing HELP!

So I bought a series 1 U.S. tivo to watch and record telstra clear set it up and had live T.V. going through it but couldn't get onto the screen to change the phone settings. I thought if I reset the system it might automatically go to a set-up whereby I could adjust the settings. But no dice, I reset and cleared the system and now I cannot even watch live T.V. through it. what is my next step? How do I change my configuration to make my Tivo go here in Wellington.

First step is to reimage the drive with an oztivo image. Read what to do here.

you can't change phone settings on the TV, but the oztivo PC boot disk has a menu from which you can choose phone/network settings.

Once you have done that you run through the guided setup on your TV, you will use postcode 02115 or 02116 as listed here:
