Philips tivo series 1 - set up issue

    Hi there,

I've just bought a Tivo for a good friend of mine and we're hitting a stumbling block. We have it all hooked up and it comes onscreen. It has software already installed and should be good to go.

We're trying to access the recorder and phone settings section on the main menu, but for some reason the tivo won't let us in. Any ideas please? Many thanks.

You need to be in maintenance mode. Go here: http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/vie...g_Guided_Setup

Ahh i see! I couldn't get in to TivoWebPlus - username Tivo did not work. Managed to telnet to Tivo and change the set up for Guided set up. Restarted the Tivo and all is well!

Thanks very much for the help, was much appreciated.

If you reboot one or two times it should come off maintenance mode.
