That is. A better and permanent way is also the option in your control panel to put your location in the top banner (look at mine above, right hand side).

No worries mate - thanks anyway!

**EDIT** If I can't get this to work, is connecting the tivo up to my pc's network card (which works fine communicating to the outside workd via its wireless connection to the router) a viable solution? Or will it face the same problem? Ultimately I just want to get my new toy working!!!

Doubtful. If anything the wired connection from the TiVo to the router would be the simplest of the lot to get working. Personally (and I've had countless TiVo's through my hands in for repairs and/or modifications) I've never had a connection problem with the direct TiVo to router method so I can't see why it would not be working for you too.

Have a read thru this thread http://forums.oztivo.net/showthread.php?t=1485
Hmm,
interesting (and long!) read. So you think it may be my ISP that is blocking minnie? I take it that was the end result from that thread? Or was it a combination of that and all the other things they did? My ISP is exetel - anyone else running through them? If I call them up, what should I ask? Thanks guys, really appreciate it.
