Motorola IR issues

You will have to excuse me as I am not proficent in UNIX (should have paid more attention all those years ago when I used it). However I have a Philips TiVo unit have all working except the ability of the unit to change channels. I have been to the forums and done as suggested in copying .tcl files over and running through tivosh. Having done all this still no go. Any suggestions? Where do I select the new codes from or do they suddenly justbstart working (in theory) what unit should I select in the initial configuration? I have tried both oztivo 1.6 and the NZtivo 1.5 with the same results.

What model Motorola Sky box? I hope its not a DTH335.

It sure is! I think I mah just give up & get a Pace. Have converted codes quoted in Forum to decimal so will give that a go first.

Changed to Pace model and all good now(very easy).
