Almost there. Just a few minutes more...

    Hi all,

I reimaged my TiVo a few oths back with NZ v1.5.

I bought it to work the other day (to keep it safe while we move house) and thought I would quickly change the router address so from work it could keep getting data files. I did a quick nic_config_tivo (hope that was right, I did whatever the one listed on here is) and happily changed router address and then did a reboot as required.

    but...

That reboot, and atempted startup's since then leave me (after cache card does it's thing)...with the "Almost there. Just a few minutes more..." screen - today I left it just in case....but it's been 8 hours now so I am guessing it's not "almost there"!

I can't access it via Tivoweb, Telnet or even serial via a data cable.

    Reimage time??
    I assume so.

Just a pain that a simple change of router address can kill it.

    Thoughts, ideas?

    Cheers
    Bruce

There nothing in nic_config_tivo that would have killed it as such.

You say that you have tried using a serial cable. Try again testing as early as possible during the boot.

It does appear it is freezing after the loading the cachecard driver, so you may have time to play before and while the driver is loading.
