    Changing STB channel before Tivos?

    Hi Everyone,

When I press the channel up/down buttons on my Tivo remote, my Pace decoder changes channel fine. However, the Tivo seems to change first and display its channel banner and THEN fire the commands at the STB. This results in the original channel still being visible for a moment while the STB is receiving the commands to change channel.

Just wondering if it would be possible to swap the order of this, so that the commands are first sent to the STB, then the Tivo changes channel. Then when the Tivos banner has disappeared, the Sky channel should have already been changed.

Any ideas, or is this impossible (or pointless).

    J

This is just how TiVo works. By and large most of the internal operating system cannot be customised to enable such changes.
