Reset my router to factory defaults - now no tivo!

    Hi,

I usually use the canadian tivo forum but it looks like they've shut down

I had to reset my linksys (wired) router back to the factory defaults yesterday and since then my hacked series 1 TiVo will not work.

The message came on over the top of a show and said something like "TiVo needs authorization - make a daily call" or something like that. I fetched some new headends and listings via Simplicity and tried to do a daily call.

    Same message.

So I did a C&D all. Now it just wants to dail in to the TiVo mothership instead of grabbing things from simplicity on the PC. I'm now stuck in the "loop" of guided setup.

I have multiple computers on my network and the one that runs TiVo is set-up with a loopback adapter.

I can telnet and ping to the TiVo and I can ping my computer from TiVo's bash prompt.

Is there some setting in the router that needs to be made?

Help! I think everyone knows how much it sucks to be without TiVo!

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

I think i've seen you on the Canadian Mailing list. Have got it sorted now?

    Peter.
