Anyway to disable channel updates

I would like to disable the channel updates from TiVo. Is there any way to do this with a hack or configuation file change?

I have modified my lineup for a few channels but TiVo moves them back a couple times a week. It is getting very frustrating.

For now, I've just unplugged the network cable then put it back when the guide data is getting low. This of course "fixes" the channels then I have to move them back.

I have tried asking TiVo multiple times to make a custom lineup headend for me and they have refused.

Any idea if this is possible?

I'm in USA so it isn't a problem with OzTiVo. You have been very helpful and knowledgable previously so I'm hoping that you know of a way to do this.

I don't know a way, if you are still wanting guide slices from TiVo, but not headend slices. It's not as simple as stopping software updates, as this is controlled by tivoapp and I don't think anyone has cracked that area to be selective about slices.
