    Changing from serialppp to Turbonet

    Hi,

I’m about to install a Turbonet card. When I built the current disk image I used the Installer --> Network option to specify serial ppp. What’s my best option for:

. Changing from serial ppp to Ethernet (Turbonet card)

    and while I’m there:

. Changing/specifying to not use DHCP (don’t know what I specified re: DHCP originally)
. Specifying the IP address(es) – I’m behind a NAT firewall so gateway address as well
. And changing the MAC address

Should I just pop the disk out of the Tivo and run the Installer without re-imaging the hard drive?

Thanks for everyone's help and time.

    Cheers,
    Phred

if you are still running PPP you can use nic_config_tivo to change your settings.

then shutdown the tivo install the network card and reboot.
