Question Guide data for TVS channel 31

I was wondering why there isn't any guide data for the Sydney community television station TVS 31. From the following websites I surmise that the data is available and suspect that if OzTivo asked them nicely, they might provide the data in the right format.

    http://www.epgstream.net/Welcome/tabid/36/Default.aspx
    http://www.tvs.org.au/programming/index.html

I'm willing to help out if someone points me in the right direction.

ebroadcast prohibits the use of their data in PVR's.

But if you wanted to convert the PDF's at tvs.org into SDE files you could upload the data yourself.

    TVS guide data in Excel

    Hi
I have been looking at the TVS guide data on their site and I discovered that if you save the HTML version of the data you can open it in Excel.
This would seem to be the easiest way to get the guide data.
I will look into getting the data into the correct form but if anyone else can help that would be good as I haven't used Excel in a while.
I might try saving it as CSV and then try to parse that with a Python script or something.
Any ideas to make it easier would be good.
If anyone else could do it quicker that would be better. I will convert and upload it every week.

It's been 2 years now.. And the TVS have HTML based channel data on their own website. (not PDF's).. Should this be revisited for the tv guide?

This is a community guide and relies on people giving back to the community.

Our guide is open and anybody can upload data to the website where we work some magic to end up with reasonable xml and TiVo slices.

Feel free to upload the data yourself or even write a script to automate the process.

Right now the TV Admins do not have the spare time to create a new fetcher from scratch, and those that have offered assistance in the past never ended up doing anything about it.

    No problem

I was more thinking along the lines of the legal aspects and any other such landmines which I haven't any experience in.

I do however, have considerable experience in web screen scraping, so now I know no one else is doing it, I will put it on my home projects list.

When we last looked at TVS they did not have any copyright information. having a quick look now, they claim copyrights. But there is no information that I saw about it.

You might as well ask them. Being a community station they are unlikely to turn down requests.

I had a similar agreement with Access 31 here in Perth and they would actually send me the guide in advance as an excel spreadsheet, which I then converted and uploaded.
