    Austar channel number change

Austar have changed their channel numbers.
At the moment the old channel numbrs on my "to be recorded" screen do not report either the old or new nimbers
E.G hallmark was 124 and is now 116.
Neither number is shown when browsing by channel.

Do i need to do anything to correct this?

    Very very satified TiVo user

If you can provide a list of all the changes, showing the old and new channels as well as any deletions or new channels we can update the headends.

    Peter.

    Many thanks for your reply.
Austar have changed numbers across Australia so TiVo changes will presumably be applicable to many users.
The list of old and new channel numbers and the their names is listed at

    http://www.austar.com.au/content_dis...tent_area_id=7

This is a .pdf document too big to post here.

Is info OK in this form or shall I transcribe it?

    Many thanks for your assistance.

    regards

    Donaldovitch.

I this an issue? Or will TiVO show that a changes had happened and the channels will be updated?

I've redone guided setup but I don't think this will fix it. Is there anything that I can do to edit my channels manually or do I wait?

I had a look/go at http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/vie...eChannelNumber but I think this will cause more grief for me when the headend changes. So I'll just leave it alone I think!

    Thanks.

To make life easier for us and get the changes done quicker for you I asked.

We need to know the changes to fix the problems you are having. just providing a list of all channels for me to sort though is not very helpful, and not what I asked for.

I am currently in Europe and the Hotels here charge an arm and both legs for internet access, so you will pardon me if I didn't jump in quick enough for you.

Austar Digital should be ok now if you do a daily call.

If you have Analog please advise of the changes as required.

If you have Digital and it still isn't right, let me know which channels and which state you are in.

    Peter.

PS it may be a few days before I have internet again...

    Thank you Peter

Trust the list i sent with new and changed Austar channel numbers is what you require.
It's the same information as on the Austar site but transcribed to reduce the file size.
Please advise if i can assist further.
I am also away from home, and will confirm all changes to digital channels are OK on my return next Tuesday.
Now realise that I should have advised that i am on digital austar and that i am in Southern NSW (Batemans Bay).
    Learning.
    Many thanks for your help.
    Very much appreciated

    Have a great trip

Not shirty at you Pete. If I could be able to make the required changes for the headend I'd just do it. I didn't know you were in Euorpe and just that I have seen others ask about channel change details and they get an answer, so was just wonder what was happening. No slight intended.

The list Donaldovitch had made does match the info you asked for.
    OLD NUMBER TITLE NEW NUMBER
    111 FOX CLASSICS 112

If it needed to be in a different format/style/file then please tell us where to look so that the info can be formatted as needed.

It's a good thing the Internet! Allows you to be anywhere and still help out

I remember being heavily jet lagged in the USA earlier this year answering posts and creating a couple of PAL tuner headend slices for places that were not in the database yet.
