Exclamation Help with my new Tivo!

Hiya all! I have been lurking here for a couple of months now and just ordered my first Tivo I have gone over most sections here and find myself pretty lost still. Is there anyone here that can help me setup my Tivo from scratch?I'm am far from being anygood with PCs. I am more than willing to pay for the secvice required. Looking for someone in Melbourne if possible.

    cheers in advance!

    Thumbs up

I'd be happy to help out if you get stuck. It'd be a weekend job though!

It might seem daunting at first but is pretty easy

    Break it down into Steps

    1) How do i get a signal into the TIVO i.e. Aerial, Cable, Satellite etc
    2) How do i get guide data into it i.e. Serial, ethernet, cable modem, ADSL etc etc

From here we can then start to help you out with pointers to info etc.

    Hey Curto,

I have no problems with step 1 at all, i have a VERY large and complex Home Theater system. The problem i have is with part 2 - the PC side of things. I have tried many times now to no avail.

OK - the PC side is not that hard

    First,

What OS do you have on the PC - presumably XP if you are a newbie
How do you connect to the Internet from your PC
What TIVO did you buy and what parts did you get for it
What is the config of your PC - more specifically do you have a CD burner ??
