Wow, Darren, I see it as very related and relevant! Thank you.
I hope someone can advise me what I have missed out and how to get the UK TiVo to kick in PAL B/G!

Ahh, now I understand why the RF output from one of my TiVo's has no sound, (Loud hum actually) and another does, one TV is newer and more compatible, the other is an old NZ TV, no doubt with minimal...

Who are the respective ISP's involved at each residence in the Coromandel? Are they the same?
David
I suggest that you run the tests advised for the first TiVo on the new TiVo and look for similarities and differences. Is it behaving identically? Can you somehow try your old ISP again?
David
Did you restore it to full DHCP? It might pay to check it is getting the correct gateway address? When you changed ISP's did your router also change? With the second TiVo you will need to...

Rebooting can also be done by typing "reboot" into a putty session. Yes use a browser to access TWP, the successor to what I think you were using. It can also be seen at...
David, run and paste
traceroute -p 8000 210.48.107.133
(and not traceroute -p 8000 21 210.48.107.133 )
The output can be pasted to notepad, saved as a text file, attach the text file to the post.
What was the result David?
Also following rebooting?

I am not sure that emuProxy2 has downloaded down correctly.
Try downloading it using Firefox 3 and FTP it across using one of the FTP apps, either should do the job, I know WinSCP will do it....
ps ax | grep emuProxy2
is a focusing version, you could try that too David, from telnet / putty. Again let us have the results here please.

I suggest adding in at least the 02110 code from http://forums.oztivo.net/showthread.php?t=912 As I understand it there is no point trying a code not saved in this file. This is on the basis...
Many thanks indeed Peter!
Off list we have confirmed the only listed NZ applicable / available post code / zones in postcodezones is 00800 Pacific/Auckland.
To my understanding if a zone is not listed in postcodezones then...
Some Forum I am aware of give an option of choosing email notifications of specific thread posts.
This push is much more user friendly than the current pull model.
The really good ones...

Does this appear in tclient.conf?
# This is for the NZ server emulator.
#127::210.48.107.133:8000::
This is from a Thomson, however I imagine it will be applicable for your TiVo also,...
Hi
Is this the correct procedure to change the NZ Thomson images IP address, with cachecards: http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Network/ChangeConfigurationofTurbonet? Something tells me another...
Using postcode 02124. The funny thing is the channels are there when using the remote, just TWP not offering them anymore!
I also note this in /var/log/kernel/

Hi
For some reason one of my Thomson TiVos has lost all channels, except for TV1 and TV2 in TWP running v1.3.1. It rebooted itself after awhile of running like this. A second one of much same...
Thanks guys, the update had been done. What seemed to fix it was not just rebooting, but also powering off and running up again. Presumably the power was holding something in the wrong way... Hope...
Thanks Dave, I understand that fix is for the oztivo version, however the NZ thomson images may work somewhat differently, I believe it may need some clarification from the NZ gurus.
I killed 619 and nothing happened.
I killed 621 and data started downloading!
Tried again and again it got stuck on setting the time....
Any ideas?
This TiVo (1 of 3) has started misbehaving. 6 days ago it wouldn't do the update thingie.
In the past this happens every so often on any TiVo here, the fix has been to run Make Test Call Now
and...
Hi
I'd use it - Wellington single channel Thomson - if it would work seamlessly? What I do not understand from the discussion is how much change would be required to use the new post codes? Would...
