The Tivo Guide Data for Sky channel 45, Disney Junior (used to be Playhouse Disney), doesn't match what's shown (which matches what's in Sky's guide data). It's an entirely different set of shows so...
Thanks, that might help me if I go there in the future.
With all the continuing bad press about T-Box problems I stuck with trusty Sky.
I guess our Tivo S1s are getting rather old these days,...
Yes, it's a strange request. But a sign of what some of us are facing now: young children!
Went to record a favourite movie on channel 45 (on Sky) using the Tivo guide data. The program at the...
Been using my trusty s1 Tivo for many years with Sky, but I'm now considering moving to TelstraClear cable with their TV.
Seems I might be able to get an old-style digital decoder that should work...
Thanks guys. That was the problem.
Of course now I remember that I had to reimage since the last timezone change, so bound to be something this.
My Tivo won't keep updated time. Set the time manually to get to NZDT, then fixtivotime or phone will reset it to NZST.
Is the emulator still on NZST or have I mucked something up since last time...
These WD 500GBs won't work in pairs or alone, or with a Seagate 250GB that does work together with one of the WDs as a 2nd drive.
So I think these are safe to say no-go on a Tivo, and I continue...
I'm wanting to reimage with two 500GB hard drives (Western Digital WD5000AVJB ) and the Tivo won't get past the first splash screen with either 1 or 2 installed.
Any advice on specific large hard...
Ciper, you could help me by telling what brand/model of 500gb drives you're using. I'm beginning to think my two Western Digital WD AV WD5000AVJB Hard Disk Drives, 500GB, 7200rpm, 8MB Cache,...
Issue Resolved!
It was some sort of corruption on my Tivo.
The issue:
All my Phone calls failed with message "Failed while preparing data". In the Otclient the processing started going wrong...
Of course as soon as I left home I realised that logs were central to any resolution!
Otclient

Just using Sky. It's been working for years without change.
For the last few days my Tivo has got part way through the Phone process and failed.
It downloads the latest data and starts processing, but sometime after 5% or so it fails with the message...
Same here, so it seems to me too that the daily call is setting the wrong time.
but maybe the phone display gives some evidence:
Last Successful Call: Thursday, 7th May at 20:49
Last Call Attempt: Thursday, 7th May at 20:49
Last Attempt Status: Succeeded
Next Scheduled...
No replies? I thought many of us would be interested in whether there was a solution.
Anyone have any info - ie. has it all been covered before, or there's no easy way to resolve it, etc?
Thanks Thomson
Of course it was simple. Just sat there looking at the Manual Recording apge after posting the message, saw the season pass option and realised that must be it. Silly me!
I enjoy some programmes on Discovery, National Geographic & BBC. One feature in common with all of them: regular repeats of exactly the same programme. I'd really like to be able to record exactly...
Just loaded it and the improvements are great. Everything seems to work really well so far.
One thing that I may just be misusing: Manual Recordings. I used to be able to set a continuous daily...
You guys are fantastic!
Yes, it was TCP port 37 being blocked by my firewall that was preventing my Tivo sychronising its clock. It's now spot-on.
Many of you have helped me, but special prize...
My Tivo's clock is fast. I reset it back to correct, only to find a few days later that it's a few minutes fast again. I seem to remember that the Tivo take's its clock from the emulator, and if...
Thanks very much Peter.
Since the problem was so fundamental I suspected incompatability - but no way to prove it. I had read all the website info when getting things going and sometime after,...

I had a happily running Tivo, but it was too full of things I'd quite like to keep. I wanted to add a 2nd hard drive to give a bit more room. I have a Philips Tivo from US.
I used the image CD...
