Thanks. It didn't work for me either.
The Auckland file on the TiVo has the correct daylight saving information in it, but it isn't being used or something else is overriding it.
Running...
Same issue here.
I have a Thomson running version 2.5.5.
Had problems last year which were fixed with a new timezone file. Unsure why the problem has recurred.
I checked and they weren't there. Running "set_NZ_Timezone..." as you suggested has put them in and the time now seems correct on the TiVo. The next test will be a daily call, but hopefully all is...
[TiVo [p1] ~]# /bin/ntpdate -b -v 210.48.107.133
[TiVo [p1] ~]# Time set to: Mon Mar 29 21:40:42 2010
Have a nice day.
It is actually the right time. However, when I plug the TiVo back into the...
Unfortunately my TiVo still doesn't have the right time.
I updated the Pacific/Auckland file as suggested, after which I got the right time and programme listings for a little while. However, all...
Thanks for the assistance on this one. It is much appreciated, especially by my wife who has been painstakingly recording the programmes one hour before the ones she wants to watch!
After some...
After making a daily call on Sunday the time on my TiVo is an hour behind the actual time.
I have tried another call today but to no avail.
Can anyone suggest a fix, please?

It's working for me now too. I should have been more patient after the update yesterday.
Cheers
Tony
Hi
Guide data for 'House' on TV 3 seems to be missing (8.30pm Tuesdays). I did a successful daily call about an hour ago, but House does not appear in the list of shows I can record.
I am...
I have success with the NZ Thomson image (2.5.5). It worked using a Samsung SP0842N drive which is nominally 80Gb, although a message scrolled past rather quickly about 'too small to expand' or some...
Okay! I now have a working TiVo (used nz Philips Dec 06 image and tweaked RF output channel using iicsetnosub as described elsewhere in the forums).
Everything works except that Prime is on ch.50...
Thanks. Unfortunately this is not the problem. The knoppix-based install images automatically unlock the drive on boot and report the drive size correctly (40Gb). To be absolutely sure, I ran...
Thanks Peter. I have tried the NZ Thomson image, though without success so far (backup MFS image used seems to be off a larger drive than mine).
I went out and grabbed a 250Gb drive off Trademe, but -- terrifically bad luck -- it was a WD Caviar Blue, which I have now discovered cannot be used in a Series One TiVo at all. It's a shame...
Mind if I ask what size drive you have used? I will feel a bit of a fool if I go out and pick up a second-hand 80Gb drive only to find out that is also too small.
I suppose my other option is to...
Thanks for the advice.
Okay, so rather than mess about with module / kernel compatability issues (2.5.5 modules unlikely to work with 3.0 kernel I figure), I have bitten the bullet and attempted...
That's a good suggestion. I have used the palmod_config tool to select NZ frequencies and to set the rf out channel to 62 instead of 60 (I have also rebooted and rerun palmod_config to check that it...
More digging yields this post: http://forums.oztivo.net/showthread.php?2312
Not impossible that it is related, though that poster seems to be using the SCART connectors.
Hi
Newbie here. I have just put ozTiVo_installer_Philips_1.6.2_20080604.iso onto my UK Thomson TiVo (using internal modem for guide data and Minicom over serial cable for checking config). I...
Still running the original factory-installed image, but will fix that as soon as I get the cover off!
I haven't yet opened the case to look. I was vaguely hoping to get a bash prompt with shondss=true and play around non-invasively, but it looks like it's running 2.5.5 or thereabouts, so no hope of...
Thanks. Will give option 5 a try and see what happens.
Connecting to my Thomson TiVo by serial cable and logging in pre boot, I get a bunch of options, some of which are to do with drive-locking. Is it possible to permanently unlock the TiVo drive this...
