Extra AV addition allows to record from both AV at the same time?

I just got a new TiVo and was thinking about doing the Extra AV addition and therefore be able to connect my Foxtel Digital Cable box to the TiVo and also a SD Digital STB.

I was wondering whether it is possible to record from both AV inputs at the same time?

Also if that is possible then is it possible to also playback a recorded show while recording from both inputs?

Any advice is much appreciated...

Not at all possible. This is a hardware limitation as there is only one video encoder chip in a TiVo.

Thompson is 100% correct. This will never be possible.
