Hi guys,
Can anybody recommend anybody in vic to do the tuner mod, and the extra audio inputs mod?
I'm not too bad with a soldering iron, but surfact mount pin legs are above my degree of co-ordination ... and i'd rather not destroy my brand new tivo!!! (i don't have it yet ... but it's on it's way!).
Jamie
Hi Jamie,
Two possibilities (that I know of):
- Darren King (tivo.darrenking at westnet.com.au)
- David Kilpatrick (dave at thunder.com.au)
Cheers, Dave.
Thanks David,
I'll try emailing them and see how i go.

not to say david isn't good either :o
Thanks for the good rap :)
Yeah either myself or David Kilpatrick are happy to do it. Usually comes down to who you decide to email first as to who you choose to do it.
Just to correct an above post it is NOT the Samsung tuners that come from the UK but the ALPS type. It is almost impossible to get the Samsung now and I don't recommend them anyway if you want UHF channel 60 RF output as well as the usual RCA Video/Audio outputs. The Samsung does not do this properly.
The correct link you should be using to the ALPS how-to is thus:
