Just spotted that both my TiVos failed to update since Tuesday. Coincidence or is there a problem? Ie is anyone else having a problem or can anyone confirm they are still getting Guide Data?

Ditto - last successful attempt was Monday morning, 8th July
The IP address at 210.48.107.133 (the NZ emulator) is answering to a ping - so the server is up. But I don't think the emulator is responding on port 8888? Looks like someone who knows (a lot) more about this will need to check it out. Not sure who's still looking at this any more. I think last time Wibble took a look. Here's hoping someone can .. it might be that the emulator task needs restarting (he says optimistically!).
Cheers

Ditto both mine dead - hope gets fixed soon, no sky left now.
I've sent messages early today to all three moderators of this thread, and later on to Pete's Trash (the Aussie admin) who has in turn sent an email to whomever the correct guy is. Guess we just have to wait.
I'm in a particularly disastrous position with one TiVo having died in the last few days (possibly capacitor problem), and the other being stuffed up by my attempt to do a Guided Setup (and so seems to have lost knowledge of the decoder being used). So am in the horrendous position of having to watch TV live until I can redo GS. I have a third TiVo on standby that I purchased a while ago but that one hasn't been set up for either of my current decoders so I'm stuffed.
There's been 30 something looks at this thread so there are probably a few more than 3 of us left :-).

OK, I'm on the case. Generating the guide now. It'll take a few hours.
The database got stuck and never finished generating the guide and therefore didn't send an email for the last 7 days.
Usual I can tell by the email size when the generation is stuffed, but it this case ...
I'll post and update when it's done.
Great, thanks.
thanks from me too!
Ok, it's done.
Enjoy.
Thanks Wibble!
Since people were wondering - there's still about 65 units alive out there.
Yes, many thanks Wibble. But see next post (in new thread).
David.
Yes, new thread. Sorry for confusion.
David
Thanks also - One night of live TV is enough!
As another of the 65 Tivo users still out there, thanks Wibble. Great work. Is there anything I can do to help keep the system running?
Greg
Having forced a daily call earlier this evening, my tivo seems to be stuck 'preparing data 98%' 2 mins......any ideas?
I'm guessing but given there's a lot to update (some data was missing so lots of indexes to rebuild to slot the new data in) maybe it'll take longer than normal?
Yes wibble, thanks for the attention, I am one of the 65 that still appreciate the help that, those that keep the guide data together are. Still getting failed service unavailable messages on two machines? edit: Fixed now must have been two machines fighting for the connection
My two TiVos were giving failed service unavailable messages after a phone call. I tried a 'Clear Program Data & To Do List' on them and then a phone call. Both are fine now. Remember to backup your season passes and wishlists via tivoweb or you will loose them. ( I forgot to do this on one of mine :-( ).
As always many thanks to wibble for his support.
I've cleared guide data etc and forced daily call, now have clean guide data but seems to be taking an age to reindex....10 hours so far.....
Has your TiVo come right yet? If it hasn't finished yet have you tried a reboot (either commanded or power cycle)?
I ended up having to do a clear and delete all, then repeated guided setup, that got re indexed data...but I just noticed it hasn't indexed since Monday, so season passes etc not working again.....why isn't it automatically indexing?
Found the solution to the indexing problem..."warped clock"...so that's all fixed up now.
