Probably a stupid question, I have seen Tivo's advertised on the 'Good Guys' web sites that require activation and the monthly subscription before they will operate. Anyone know if the AU iso image works on these devices?

I could be wrong ... but maybe you went to www.thegoodguys.com instead of www.thegoodguys.com.au ...
the first site is in the states and has tivo's for sale as well as other AV equipment?
As far as i'm aware there isn't a tivo available from any australian retail outlets (most people import them from the states and modify them to suit local conditions).
