Will doing another guided setup erase my current settings?

I have to do another guided setup to change some settings and was wondering if I will lose my current recordings and settings like season passes etc?

I don't think I will but can't remember and want to be sure before I go ahead.

So long as you are not doing a complete image install from the CD and simply just redoing guided setup you will not lose your current rrecordings or preferences.
