No Audio from STB/Fox, but TiVo makes sound

Hi Everyone.

I have been experiencing sound loss from my Fotel box. Testing the foxtel separately, it is fine.

TiVo still makes sound, and will play precorded programs, but will not get "live" sound.

Changing the channel and/or rebooting the TiVo does not change the problem, once it has started.

After reading a forum link I can no longer find that someone pointed me to....

Which basically says if you have a rev 2.0 cache card, then get them to replace it with a rev 2.2 one. You need to buy a new one, but they will refund (minus postage) the purchase, which is all you could really ask for.

I was able to confirm this was the problem, by taking the RAM out of the cache card (so the cache driver does not load, but it still behaves like a network card - these are apparently distinct, independant parts within the cache card) and hooray! sound. Now I can still use my TiVo, while I wait for the new cachecard to arrive.
