Convert Home Videos to .Tivo format with metadata

Can anyone suggest software to convert home video format (Say Mpg or avi) to tivo format?
I found in this forum the suggestion to use "VideoraTivo" converter, but I found that to be most difficult to use, and could not for the life of me get it to covert my mpg's to .tivo files.

My main aim is to be able to add "metadata" or file properties which will display information on my tivo, when I press the info button.

Home videos converted to avi play perfectly ok on tivo, but there seems to be no way to add information like "descriptions" or titles to allow tivo to put all my home videos into a folder (when chosing folder view).

Ideally I would need a program that will convert mpg's to tivo, but also allow me to attach a tivo style properties/attributes (txt) file in the process.

Hope this all makes sense.
