Hi,
As requested Darren, we are joining.
Cheers to this forum and its admins for allowing us in.
+1. We are looking forward to the new service.
Welcome to everyone. We're slowly going to be rebuilding this site for all things TiVo. Here we can split the conversations up into different topics.
It's been a while since I posted here.
I'll have to send my unit to Darren for mods as my eyes aren't what they used to be.
Hi,
Darren kindly sent me a chip and it is installed. Now waiting for our new software at end of month.
Keep up the great work guys.
Regards,
Mike
I have also joined as darren is modding my tivo, a big thanks to all involved, looking forward to the next chapter for our beloved tivo's.
Will be great to get this Forum humming along again. I love my TiVos.
Sorry Darren, it's up to two TiVos now. :(
Back on board the OzTiVo forum.

I'm off to look for the Guide wiki to start helping with updates - if I can remember where it is and how to do the updates..
Cheers,
Phred

Its been a while since I have posted here as well.
Thanks to all involved in the work done regarding the continuation of our much loved TiVo.
Two boxes chipped and running.
Just joined.Come over from Whirlpool.
Still waiting on a few things before taking the plunge.
Firstly, looking for a suitable replacement for my 1TB hard drive. What I have is working, but you never know..It's a WD10EURS "a/v" drive. I read somewhere the 2TB Purple ones were suitable. How do you get around any size limitations?
Secondly,I have the Media Access Key. I find it very handy to transfer files.Does it disappear with the new firmware? And if so is there an alternative?
Thanks
Hey andymoz..maybe just start a new thread on that subject, and others will see it easily and be able to assist?
Just look at the dates andy...you can then get a good idea of how valid they may be now?
You did good joining...I'm a newbie too !!
Hi everyone,
just joined from Whirlpool at Darren's general request.
I look forward to contributing and would like to extend my sincere thanks to all who have made the continuing use of our TiVo's possible.
Welcome aboard.
Although the activity on the forum has reduced somewhat recently and many of the posts relate to S1 TiVos a number of the hacks can be applied to S3 machines. One example is TiVoWebPlus that enables web browser access directly to your machine enabling remote control far beyond that of the original Hybrid offering.
I am sure things can only get better.
Thanks
Which series are my two TiVo's please..I'd like to see what hacks are available....picture attached

Yours is a Series 3 or HDTiVo. The series 1 TiVos were purchased in the US and later UK. There were enthusiasts in the US, UK, AU, NZ and others who came up with many 'enhancements' some of which were picked up by TiVo in later models. Examples are ethernet access (S1 used dialup), and remote recording.
Your updated S3 / HD already has three of these hacks applied as part of the upgrade (BufferHack, endpadplus & 30 sec skip).
Tks Islander
Hi All
We are slowly going to encourage people to come over from Whirlpool to these forums where we can split the topics up rather than the few threads on Whirlpool that go off in all directions and make it hard for people to keep up.
Hi from a new member from whirlpool.
A big shoutout to eh Sydney modder for looking after the chip and software update, all up and running.
