I realise that you don't need to specify an ip address on the command line, the reason for doing so is to simulate what the daily call will do. If it works on the command line then i'll have more confidence that it'll work in the daily call.

You guys rock!! It went to 'succeeded' and the date/time is correct and I now have guide data for channels 2,9 and SBS! Don't know what has happened to 7 and 10 - hopefully they are just a bit slow..?
Either way - fantastic work, thank you so much for your help!!!
Melissa.

I'm in Richmond, Melbourne.
Any idea why i wouldn't have the guide data for channel 7 and 10? Also, am i going to have all sorts of trouble each time there is a software update?!
Cheers,
Melissa.
When was you last daily call?
If before 5pm ESDT today, force one now and post your otclient log once successful.
Yes you will have problems with update, but we can overcome them.
cd /etc
cat update_exclude
This will list the contents of that file, if it exists. Post the details here.
If it doesn't exist, the use your editor of choice to make a new file called update_exclude
remember to use rw to make the system read/write first.
Paste the following into it.
/hack/etc/emuProxyZA.conf
/etc/ntpdate_local_ip
save the file, and use ro to make system read only.
Peter.
I made another daily call and the guide data is all there now - yay! I also made the suggested changes to update_exclude.
Thank you everyone for your help, I love my tivo again!!
Cheers,
Melissa.
Good news, happy to help.
Peter.
Excellent. Glad it's all working now.
Melissa,
Are you on ADSL or ADSL2
