I'm not sure if it's because the TiVo is officially end of life, and people are clearing stock, but new remotes seem dirt cheap on ebay at the moment.
I just ordered a new (direct TV branded though) one for $17 delivered, and he still has a few more. Seems cheap, given that they are $30-$50USD + shipping from weaknees.
Hope they are OK.
So if you think yours is on it's last legs, it might pay to order a new one now.
