Transfer video TO the Tivo?

So, has anyone found a nice clean way to download videos from the Net and transfer them to the Tivo for viewing?

The simplest way is just to record it via the A/V inputs, but this may result in some loss from the 2 analog conversions.

For direct MPG -TY conversion for insertion, tools like tymplex can do the job see tivo-hacks/video2ty.html (http://www.nam-shub.com/tivo-hacks/video2ty.html) for details.

Ive been searching the Net and there still doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this digitally (even less easy if you are a Mac user).

Anybody else heard anything or know of any tools out there?

Did you try the link I gave above? It's linux based so shouldn't be hard to run on a Mac.
