finerly after lots of pissing around got em working heres how
Download the dbload30.tcl and logo-67.slice.gz and save locally. Open an FTP session to your TiVo and transfer the files to /var/tmp as a binary file. Then TELNET to your TiVo and type:
chmod u+x dbload30.tcl
./dbload30.tcl logo-67.slice.gz
and the logo information slice will be loaded into your TiVo database. Now just type:
sync
reboot
and your logos should appear in tivoweb where you can manipulate and add others etc
hope it works for you's too

dadnz, to get logos working for me I just pointed at 8000, forced a daily call, then went into the Logos page of Tivoweb and clicked 'automatically assign logos" (or whatever it is called) and logos all matched up perfectly.
Perhaps I was just lucky....... :)

No it is designed to do this.
Port 8000 carries logos.
And in the new system the logos are automatic, you wont even need to associate them.
Moreover they are New Zealand logos, unlike the 67 slice.

i can call and get data ok from 8000 but get a error when loading it :(
Yes, its too late for you now. Once you have manually loaded a logoslice you cannot move to the emulator on 8000.
You need to clear and delete everything and then rerun GS against the emulator to get setup correctly, if you intend to do this I suggest you wait until after the 1st March update.

I've just reinstalled onto a new drive .. after having resisted the change to the new emulator for so long :)

You don't have to do anything. From a clean install, using port 8000, the logos just work on their own!

I apologise - it appears that it may not be as simple as just using port 8000. I have logos on my tivo (sky), but I just noticed that my flatmates tivo (FTA) has no logos. Which postcode number did you use?

The tivo has not downloaded the logos from the emulator, so there are no logos to assign!

Same here on 02115. I have a new second TiVo which I just imaged and there are no logos.
Fixed. Next daily call should pick up the slice. Just to clarifiy, all you need to do is be on 8000. There is no manual association required. The logos are linked within the headends.
One point, we obviously need some more logos built for new channels. If anyone has time to contribute to the community, this effort would be appreciated.

would I need a reboot?
I've just forced a daily call .. and still the same

Off the top of my head I'm not sure in so far as the tivo user interface is concerned. Certainly thomson's tivoweb needs to be restarted.
... suggest try a boot.
If you still have difficulties, PM me your tivoid.

What logo's are you missing? Feel free to use ours.
Peter.
Thanks Peter, as always. Its mostly NZ specific stuff with the new digital channels over here.
