I'm just wondering if it's possible for several new channels to be added to the tvguide lineup. I'd really like to see the following channels added:
ABC-Can-HD
ABC-NSW-HD
ABC-NT-HD
ABC-Qld-HD
ABC-SA-HD
ABC-Tas-HD
ABC-Vic-HD
ABC-WA-HD
Nine-Mel-HD
Nine-NT-HD
Nine-Qld-HD
Nine-SA-HD
Nine-Syd-HD
Nine-WA-HD
SBS-Can-HD
SBS-NSW-HD
SBS-NT-HD
SBS-Qld-HD
SBS-SA-HD
SBS-Tas-HD
SBS-Vic-HD
SBS-WA-HD
Seven-Bris-HD
Seven-Dar-HD
Seven-Mel-HD
Seven-Qld-HD
Seven-SA-HD
Seven-Syd-HD
Seven-WA-HD
Ten-Can-HD
Ten-NSW-HD
Ten-Qld-HD
Ten-SA-HD
Ten-Vic-HD
Ten-WA-HD
If these channels were added, i'm willing to enter data for them, and could probably recruit a lot of ppl from the mediaportal and mce user bases to help enter data all round!
Does anyone know how i should go about getting these channels added? :)

I'll see what I can do for you, but it might take a little while I'm busy moving premises at the moment.

Actually thinking about it further, is there any point in cluttering up the database with these extra channels.. aren't the HD channels still just a copy of what is on SD, and we already provide data for these?

well... only a select few programs are broadcast in hd, and (with channel 7 for instance) the rest of the time the channels just show a test loop. it would be really useful to have a HD channel listing with only the programs that are being broadcast on these stations included, so it'd be really easy to choose whether to record the SD channel or the HD channel!

YES!
This would be very handy!
There are no HD channel EPG information anywhere for Australian free to air, so it would only be fitting if OzTivo had them first :)
Some programs are in HD, but not all, so it wouldnt be a straight copy from the SD to HD. Rather, sections of the SD go to the HD EPG.
It would be great to add these channels, zombiepig and i can do the rest :)

Ok, I'll add it to the TODO list.
I assumed all programming was the same as SD just presented in HD or upconverted SD if native HD was not available.
I'll post back here when it's done, but probably not till after Christmas.

No, the spare time I was looking for has not appeared.
But if you want to do the grunt work, I'll add it to the server.
I need a text file with listings in the following format.
[Seven-Syd]
version=15
affiliation=Seven Network
city=Sydney
country=Australia
name=Seven Sydney
parser=Human
serverid=7200007
state=NS
urlparams_human=FTA
[Nine-Syd]
version=15
affiliation=Nine Network
city=Sydney
country=Australia
name=Nine Sydney
parser=Human
serverid=7200009
state=NS
urlparams_human=FTA
[Station title] I suggest just adding HD to the end of the station name eg [NineHD-Syd]
version=15 for all entries.
affiliation= enter the main network this channel is affiliated with
city= name of the City
country=Australia (for all)
name= again I suggest adding HD to the end of the station eg NineHD Sydney
parser=human (for all)
serverid= ok this one is a little complicated. 1st digit is alway 7, 2nd digit is the first digit of the post code, 3rd digit is a 0 for capital city or a 1 for regional areas, 4th & 5th digits leave as 0, 5th and 6th digits are the LCN that has been assigned to that HD channel.
state=two letter code for the state AC,NS,NT,QL,SA,TA,VI,WA
urlparams_human=FTA (for all)
As you can see it's a bit of a pain, but if you post it back here and some else confirms no errors, I'll load it up to the server. Remember all variable names are lower case, most variables are titlecase.
I leave for 2 weeks in Japan on Tues. If it's not posted by then, it will have to wait till I return.
Peter.

state=VI
