For those of you that may be running the EtiVo (http://prish.com/etivo/) software you might like to make a small alteration to your mfs_ftp.tcl code to keep things running smoothly. The current issue is that EtiVo seems to use the EpisodeTitle to check for duplicate recordings - so if the Episode Title is blank it will only download one show for each series.

The following modification will set the EpisodeTitle to the episode number. I have attached a patch (p1.tcl) for the mfs_ftp (v1.2.9p) with a couple of updated functions (the changes in code are marked with "Additions for EtiVo"). You should delete all of the files in your mfs_ftp cache directory after placing this patch in the mfs_ftp directory, and either restart mfs_ftp or reboot your TiVo.

If anyone out there has a mobile device that they wish to use to view recordings on the way to/from work, you might be interested in the attached configuration file. This is a configuration that will transcode the recordings into a format suitable for an N-Gage (DivX, 208x160), although it should work fairly well for most Symbian mobile phones capable of playing videos (SmartMovie (http://www.lonelycatgames.com/index.php?chapter=smartmovie) is a great little app for this)

To use this you will need to install EtiVo (http://prish.com/etivo/) and configure (http://www.cavewomble.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/mencoder/) it for DivX encoding. By using this software and the DivX_NGage.xml you will be able to completely automate the process.
