Hi all,

I have been trying to set up a Xtensia (NextWave) XDT4250 set top box to work with my Tivo but haven't managed to choose (guess) a set top box during the install that has compatible IR codes.

Does anyone know of a compatible set top box that I can select during setup to enable the Tivo to change TV channels?

Regards,
Paul.

If there are no compatible codes in the current lineup to choose from then you are most likely going to have to create your own using IR Slice Creator as per here:

http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/IR/CaptureIrCodesWithIrSliceCreator

Of course, being now part of the TiVo community that relies on input for it to survive it would also be appreciated if you submit the created codes to the emulator for other's benefit too :)

Hi Darren,

Thanks for replying. As a first option I would like to check whether someone has already put together some codes for a NextWave Set Top box.

I tried the link to the IR codes but have been asked to authenticate.

I will look into it in more detail tonight.

Thanks.

You just need to register on the website for access TWikiRegistration (http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/TWiki/TWikiRegistration)

But as Darren has said, your box is not currently supported. Every box listed below is in the current IR-slice. There are also other standard boxes that TiVo supports for the US, but not NextWave.

Peter.

Thanks for the additional information.
I will exchange the set top box for one on the supported list.

Cheers.

It generally isn't that hard to capture your own codes using the method Darren suggested.

Peter.
