Hi everyone,

I just upgraded to a HD set top box and have been through the guided set up again and have successfully set it up to the point where I have to specify a code for the IR blaster to change the channel of the STB.

Has anyone been able to get an LG HD Set Top Box (Model no. LST-5100P) to work with a Tivo. I have been through all the recommended codes and none seem to work.

Any advice would be great!
Cheers guys.

It would be unlikely that anyone has the codes for your STB as they have not been uploaded to irdatabase.cgi (http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/irdatabase.cgi) .

You will more than likely need to make your own by following the instructions @ CaptureIrCodesWithIrSliceCreator (http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/IR/CaptureIrCodesWithIrSliceCreator) .

Thanks for the reply Peter, being a mac user who has never been on a PC, the idea of creating slices sounds pretty daunting.

I have worked out a solution that I am happy with at the moment. Instead of running the Tivo through the STB, it is going through the PAL tuner. It's not HD but I can live with it.

Fair enough, but this is one of the things anyone can do regardless if they use a MAC, PC, or Linux as it is all done on the TiVo itself through a telnet connection.

You wouldn't get HD through the TiVo as it doesn't support it, you would need to use an SD output for it to work. Using the inbuilt tuner is probably more reliable anyway.
