One remote, control all?

Hi i just purchasd a Tivo and am waiting its delivery. I have a Digital STB and FOX Dig and was wondering if the Tivo would be changing both of those for me to the channel i need? Or does it only work with one of the boxes, i could not find the answer in the guided setup area so i decided to ask here.

If you are configuring Guided Setup to work with the two external boxes then yes the TiVo sends the IR codes for both boxes.

Two things to remember:

1. You will need the 2nd A/V mod so that the TiVo can accept both STB inputs

2. You will also need a dual-head IR Blaster emitter and place one head in front of the digital STB and the other in front of the Foxtel box.

i bought a setup from tivo down under im not sure if it came with those things. Just with the 2nd av mod, could you tell me more about that please, is it hard to install, where can i get one from?

No, A TiVo from TDU will usually not have the 2nd A/V mod.

If you want to do it yourself the oztivo website shows you how to DIY one:

Be forewarned however that soldering onto the Micronas chip requires some advanced soldering skills as the pins are easily broken.
