digital tv STU supported by IR

Hi All, can anyone point me to a standard def STU that has been tested to work correctly with supplied IR codes. I have a lennox STU and can't for the life of me get it going changing channels. (yes i guess i am too lazy to do the whole IR capture thing, i guess for $80 bucks or so it would be easier to get one that's already supported by the kind contributers here)

can anyone recommend a cheap STU for the Tivo?
