Hello Guys,

I realise that most of the TiVo stuff seems to be Windows OS based, but the TiVo OS/Kernal is Linux as is Mac OSX. I don't have a PC and it just would be so much easier to install and adminiser via my Mac.

1. I'm just wondering if it is possible to image & setup a new (reconditioned) Tivo via Mac OSX.

2. Can I use Tivo WebPlus on Mac OSX?

Is this possible?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
I have been told it is only possible via PC, though brighter minds than mine may differ (but no-one seems to be answering). Find a PC friend - or perhaps a local PC shop who have a test bench they may allow access to...

As for the Tivoweb, yes, it's just a web page essentially, so any standard browser on any platform can access this.

Cheers
Neil

Hello Neil,

Thanks for the reply, I've ordered my Tivo from George last week, so I should have it by end of the week.

Here to pulling apart my best mates pc ;)

Cheers

John

ps Neil, I've noticed you have a CacheCard and I've just ordered one. You may be able to help me out with this question.

Is there CacheCard drivers on the OzTivo image? If so is it nessesary to upgrade the CacheCard driver to the latest versions, does it make that much difference?
