Which Series 1 Philips?

I've been looking through the E-bay listings and there are 3 Philips Series 1 Tivos around. HDR112, HDR212, HDR312.

Any preferences for one over another?

Nope... from memory the HDR112 has a 15GB harddrive, the HDR212 has a 20GB and the HDR312 has two 15GB harddrives. Either way you will probably be replacing these with a larger one :-)

You should cost an Ebay purchase up against George's (diskless) price of US$90 + US$85 shipping at www.eksys.com.

Thanks for that. Current listings show the series 1 HDR312 on Ebay selling for around US$50. I will be in the USA in January so am thinking of buying one to collect.
