Hi all,

I've been searching through all the forums and cannot find a simple fix for this one. Ever since last weekend of September, daylight saving has kicked in and the Tivo is still showing the old time.

Have tried several daily calls, reboots and still on old time.

Have tried changing dbsetx /Setup DaylightSavingsPolicy 0 to 1 and no change.

Have installed the latest postcodes and still no joy.

Any ideas please?

Many thanks, Ian

Same issue here.

I have a Thomson running version 2.5.5.

Had problems last year which were fixed with a new timezone file. Unsure why the problem has recurred.

Thanks Islander. I've tried this fix a few times and still no joy.

Also my other series 1 Philips box has the same issue at the Thomson. I tried this fix on the Philips and it didn't work.

Any other ideas?

Thanks. It didn't work for me either.

The Auckland file on the TiVo has the correct daylight saving information in it, but it isn't being used or something else is overriding it.

Running ntpdate on the TiVo gives incorrect time (one hour early).

I have also tried what was suggested last time:

http://forums.oztivo.net/showthread.php?2347-Incorrect-time

No joy there either.

Might have to admit defeat on this one!

Cheers
Tony

does something in here help?:

I remember having this problem many years ago, and fixing it with something with 'time' in it, I think? rtimetz? rtime?

I did a 'settime YYYYmmddHHmmss' to the actual time, after which ntpdate (rtimetz in disguise) now works. Has survived a daily call and a reboot of the machine, so hopefully that's it done now.

In retrospect I probably should have tried settime at the outset, but when I had problems last year it didn't have the right effect until I had made all the other changes (daylightSavingsPolicy etc.).

Hopefully this can help you too, Ian.

Right I just tried the settime [YYYYMMDDHHMMSS] command to adjust it, rebooted and so far so good! Thanks all your help.

Here is another page here which I found:

Hopefully the Tivo will be OK now when downloading listings too, fingers crossed. Wife now happy Shortland Street will record again!
