Hi,
Can anyone advise which Freeview boxes on sale in NZ have IR codes available?
The wiki links to a UK TivoPortal site, with boxes that are alien to here.
I understand the postcode will be 02112, now wanting to save myself from having to capture the IR codes manually.
cheers.

Hi, my original reply is being held pending moderator approval because it contained links.s
The postcode you use will be 02110 or 02111. See thread in NZ Specific section entitled "FAQ: Current New Zealand Postcodes"

There are two lists of compatible STBs. See "IR Database" on oztivo website, you'll need to register first.
Also search for "phoenix digital tivo stb" should be top result

Thanks Skolink,
I registered for the oztivo wiki and found the IR database.
Looks like I'll use postcode 02110 NZ Freeview DVB (Satellite; [Cable location] Use for standalone cable box).
In terms of the image software, would you recommend the last NZ version from orac/caffeine (Dec 2006) or V3.0 Release 1.6 for Australia as of 27th September 2006, or something different?
cheers,
t

I would recommend the latest Oz one (v1.6.2), it is much more stable than the nzTiVo one (v1.5). The only modification needed is to replace the timezone file afterwards for the latest daylight savings dates. The NZ emulator is an option on the image boot CD menus. Make sure you change the port to 8000 though.
